Tonight, the Wenatchee Valley Cross Shines for My Grandpa ✝️❤️
Tonight, the Wenatchee Valley Cross Shines for My Grandpa ✝️❤️
Tonight, I sponsored the lighting of the beautiful Wenatchee Valley Cross in loving memory of the best grandpa who ever lived. He was my first mentor, my first boss, my first practice patient, my safest place, and the first man I ever loved. I am now a Lifestyle Medicine nurse practitioner largely because of my grandpa’s tutelage—his grocery store became my first classroom, and his life taught me about service, nourishment, rest, consistency, community, and caring for the whole person long before Lifestyle Medicine had a name. He believed in me before I believed in myself and loved me completely—through illness, fear, struggle, and coming out gay—with no conditions, no edits, and no shame. His faith, humor, strength, and kindness guide every life I touch. Grandpa, this light is for you tonight. May it shine over this valley as brightly as your love continues to shine through me. I love you and Jesus forever and always. Thank you for having been a true Jesus example to all of us on earth ✝️🌹❤️
