I was 11 years old when Daddy died... that was back in 1994. That Christmas, a beautiful golden cross appeared on the moutainside directly behind my house near #2 canyon. I had never seen it before but was in awe because it so reminded me of the golden cross my dad often wore before his passing. He had a fantastic relationship with Jesus and introduced me to him.

Seven years later, my husband and I were getting married. The night before the wedding we walked out of the basement of our church, which overlooked the valley, and I saw that shining reminder on the hill.

Veterans Day

The Congregation of Calvary Crossroads Church would like to dedicate the cross lighting in honor of Veterans Day to all Veterans who have served in our military. We especially honor those who were wounded or gave the ultimate sacrifice for our nation's freedom. To those who currently serve our nation and will soon be listed as veterans, we also dedicate this symbol of faith that is shining out tonight. May this symbol remind all who see it or view the computer image that our nation has been strong and will remain strong only as long as our military citizens want it strong.

Our Wonderful Cross

Thank you for our beautifully lighted cross. Please do not even consider taking it down. To me, it is evidence that God so loved us that He sent his only Son to redeem us from our sins and give us hope for eternal life. Amen! Margaret McCormick

Thank you!!!

Just before Thanksgiving I wondered about the cross. I had not seen it for a while and with the Christmas season quickly approaching I kept anticipating its presence on the horizon. I was so blessed this year to see it bigger and brighter than ever in its new location. My kitchen window looks south from my home in East Wenatchee with a clear view of Wenatchee Heights. One evening I glanced up while doing the dishes and there was the cross, positioned perfectly in the center pane of my kitchen window. It is wonderful!! My young daughter, Hope, was also thrilled.

Importance to our valley

'If I be lifted up ...., I will draw all men to myself'

Glory to God in the Highest!

Since moving to Wenatchee I have appreciated looking across the valley to see that cross shining as a reminder for the reason for Christmas, the beginning of the earthly mission of love by God's Son! Thank-you to all who have labored to move it, maintain it, and fund it. I love the creativity of God's people as they use their gifts for ministry, and this is a great example!

The shining cross over our valley has always been encouraging to me...

The cross has been one of the most encouraging things in this valley for me. No matter how my day has gone, just looking up and seeing the cross lit reminds me that my Hope is in Christ Jesus! This ministry has helped me through some rough times and I just wanted to thank Randy for the time and work he's put into it. Most of all I want to thank Jesus for giving us His Life on the cross for us! Without Him this would truly be a dark world.
